Description :
Cette école octroie un Bachelor of Science degree in osteopathy (B.Sc.)
This collaborative programme between Keele University and The College of Osteopaths offers adults of any age the first ever opportunity to study osteopathy in a degree-level programme without having to travel to the southern half of the country! It also offers the flexible option of part-time study, making Osteopathy more accessible to those with other commitments.
Commencing October 2005, with an intake each October thereafter, the programme extends over 5-6 years, with all taught sessions scheduled for 18 weekends per year on the campus. Clinical experience (1200 hours in all) will be accumulated by attendance at the College of Osteopaths’ teaching clinic, soon to be established close to Keele.
The programme has been fully validated by Keele University. As is standard with new professional programmes, the Keele programme has yet to be accredited by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the statutory regulatory body for osteopaths. Accreditation is necessary in order that graduates, on completion of the programme, can be eligible for registration to practise as an osteopath, a legal requirement in the UK.
